Descripción

This was the second engraving he made in his life. The first one had been made in Barcelona in 1899, and he called it “The Left-Handed Man”.

To make Le Répas Frugal, Picasso benefited from the teachings of Ricard Canls and the help of the engraver Eugène Delatre, owner of the printing house where the first copies of the work were made, one of which he dedicated to his friend Sebastiá Junyer-Vidal.
