Descripción

The motif of this poster was also reproduced for the exhibition at the Galerie Artek, Helsinki, from 23 August to 18 September 1979.

The Master made six states of this print. This was because Picasso was not satisfied with the body of Venus and kept making changes to try to capture her grace. Eventually, Picasso succeeded in achieving what he was looking for. The print reproduced on this poster corresponds to the final version made using the techniques of aquatint, scraper, burin and drypoint. The print run of the first six states, included, was carried out by Jacques Frélaut in the Lacourière workshop.
