    Descripción

This is an oval plate in grey, pink, green, blue and black. It was made of kaolin, decorated with oxides and englobes (colour in liquid clay), embossed and glazed (protective varnish) with silicate. 200 numbered copies were produced.

Neither this poster nor its motif have been reproduced on other posters.

The plate shown on the poster is a splendid testimony to Picasso’s artistic skill in the use of colour and decoration on ceramics.

Georges Ramié sums it up thus: “Picasso’s art goes further, because it brings things to life and makes them visible.”
