Descripción

The lithograph of the poster is an enormously attractive work due to its strength and simplicity. With masterful strokes, preserving all the majesty of the bull, Picasso achieved a “brilliant disintegration and synthesis”. Through it he managed to reveal the strength and nobility of the animal, underlining the mass and power of its body and contrasting it with the size of the head, noticeably reduced, but adorned with long, pointed horns.

What is striking about the drawing of the bull is that, despite the disproportion between body and head, Picasso achieves both balance and elegance in the bull. Once again, Picasso demonstrates his extraordinary imagination, which gives his own stamp to the figures he creates. His mastery of form is incomparable.
