Descripción
This drawing, done in coloured ink, was dedicated to the University of Geneva by Picasso himself and he skilfully used it as a motif for his poster. Picasso’s composition shows us one of the characters that invaded his imagination and that the master began to bring to life until they came to occupy, first “Notre-Dame-de-Vie” and later the Palace of the Popes in Avignon.
This drawing has been done quickly with agile lines that intertwine to give shape to the features of the character, animated by an insinuating and mischievous smile, which lights up the face, making it lose its circumstantial gravity and seem friendly.
