The original painting is in the Kunstmuseum Bern. A copy of this work exists in the Picasso Pavilion at the Hakone Open-Air Museum (Chokoku No Mori) in Hakone.
Neither this poster nor its gemmail motif have been reproduced on other posters. However, an exact print run of another poster reproducing the original painting of the “Seated Harlequin” exists, published for the Swiss Collections Exhibition held at the Palais Beaulieu, Lausanne, from 1 May to 25 October 1964.
The poster reproduces a version of the original work that was later made by the brothers, Christian and Roge Maleg Naval, using the gemmail technique under Picasso’s supervision and with his content.
