The Salon de los Pintores Testigos of its time was an annual art exhibition (March-April-May) founded by Isis Kischka in 1951 and celebrated in the Galliera Museum on a particular theme that was renewed every year.
Each artist was asked to contribute a series of portraits and to choose his models. The art of portraiture seems to give rise to important plastic problems and the attitude of a man in his everyday environment can always arouse the attention and curiosity of painters.
