This is one of the last paintings of Françoise painted by Picasso. The artist portrays with great fantasy the face of his lover, which already shows the crisis that is ravaging the couple. The style is reminiscent of “L’Egyptienne”. The cubist forms he uses to outline the body, the way he represents the hair and, in general, the composition as a whole, despite the pleasant colours used, show a kind of belligerent attitude towards his lover, whose eyes reveal his sadness and independence.
