This lithograph has also been used as a motif on other posters. This lithographic poster was designed to promote an exhibition of Modern Masters (contemporaries at the time) lithographs at the Château de Goutelas in 1966.

The Château, which had been closed and abandoned, was resurrected and turned into a cultural centre for the region. Under the motivation of a Lyon lawyer, Paul Bouchet, many peasants, workers and intellectuals volunteered to restore the walls over a period of ten years. Many artists such as Bernard Cathelin, Duke Ellington and the mime Marceau were associated with the revival of Goutelas. Various lawyers’ associations quickly organised seminars and conferences at this beautiful site west of the city of Lyon, France.

This poster depicts a famous earlier original lithograph by Pablo Picasso, “The Dove of Peace”. It was reproduced by Mourlot’s master printer, Henri Deschamps, under Picasso’s own supervision, but as it was not a poster for a Picasso-only exhibition, no reference was made to it in Czwiklitzer’s catalogue.
