Neither this poster nor its motif has been reproduced in other posters. Picasso resumed his poster design activity with three different versions of fauns. Bernhard Geiser called the characters in these posters elves, creatures from Scandinavian mythology. Foster mistakenly mentioned that Picasso had only made two versions of fauns.

The Master achieved tremendous liveliness in the faces of the fauns, despite the simplicity of the drawing. He gives them expressions full of charm, the expression of someone who feels observed but at the same time contemplates the viewer, with a touch of curiosity, with a degree of wit and even provocation.
